Sebastian Treasure Quest Partnership
Billions of dollars worth of gold and cargo from Hundreds of shipwrecks await discovery. Treasure salvage is a high risk venture seeking high rewards. Attempting to recover billions of dollars worth of treasure is not without risk. Locating the treasure is not without reward.
Our Super Sonar System will possess capabilities unsurpassed by any other technology currently on the market. According to tests performed by AT&T/Bell Labs, their Enhanced Bottom Sonar System penetrates 30 feet of mud and rock, and discriminates between various types of materials. We intend to modify the Super Sonar System, increasing its level of sophistication and usefulness far beyond that of existing state of the art equipment. The Super Sonar System will be linked to computers, Loran, Global Position System (GPS) to provide us with precise positioning data which enables us to return to a specific location. In this way we will be able to establish a new track record on the amount of time required for searching and recovering an area.
This new Super Sonar System is unique in two very important ways. It penetrates the ocean floor and it identifies materials. This identification technology is commonly called “Signal Recognition” technology. It works by sending a unique signal to the target that returns with an embedded signal that is interrupted by the equipment’s computer to be a specific and/or group of materials. This digging the signal out of something else is similar to the technology used in space telemetry. Spaceships and satellites cannot put out powerful radio signals because of payload limitations. So when a radio signal is received from space it’s buried in the noise and they dig it out from under the clutter. In other words this Super Sonar System tells us what is buried under the ocean floor.
Bruce Rouch’s background includes electrical engineering, lead computer programming, scuba diving and salvaging. He has been diving on ancient wrecks since 1986 and holds a Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Underwater Archaeology Certificate. In addition to technical contributions, his extensive management experience enables him to provide organizational and leadership skills. He will coordinate and oversee the actual treasure hunt.
